The Ash Breeze

The Association publishes a quarterly journal, The Ash Breeze, which is sent to all members.

The journal is devoted to topics ranging from reports from the chapters to technical details and specific designs with lines and offsets. You may find anecdotal accounts of experiences in traditional boats, tips on how to spile a plank, or an account of "VII Trobada de Barques del Vela Llatina" (Spain).

We post The Ash Breeze on the web as the subsequent issue goes to press. The delay is to encourage you to join TSCA and get your own copy delivered to your mail box well in advance of the web posting.

Volume 29, Number 2 -- Summer 2008 (2.7 MB PDF)

Earlier editorials from The Ash Breeze are also available (latest: Oct 21, 2001).

The main source of "copy" for the journal is the TSCA membership. If one has something interesting or useful to say about traditional boats, one has met the requirements for authorship, except for one: writing it down.
