ALL chapter events are open to interested non-members.
Contact Larry Feeney or
John Weiss for more information,
unless otherwise indicated.
(Current announcements are in the main
announcements page)
1999
Chapter announcements
January 31 -- The Restoration Shop tutorial event has been
postponed, probably to April. A heavy schedule has put Marty behind in finishing the new
digs. Watch your e-mail and the Calendar
page for the announcement of the new date.
1998
Chapter announcements
December 19 -- The Puget Sound Chapter is assuming
responsibility for maintenance of the TSCA
National web site.
John Weiss volunteered to take over maintenance of the site, which
has not been updated for almost 2 years. Ben Fuller, TSCA National
President, recently accepted the offer, and we have been in
contact with By-the-Sea.com, the administrators of the site.
Initially, changes will be restricted to updates of the basic site
information (officers, chapters, etc.). However, we have free rein
to enhance the site as we see fit.
This is an opportunity to help revitalize the national
organization and to have our chapter greatly influence the
national image of TSCA. If you have ANY ideas for enhancement
of the national web site, however large or small, please let
John or
Larry know. If you
have specific graphics, pictures, or designs in mind, send them to
John via any means. Photos and
artwork will be returned after scanning if sent via snail mail.
John will incorporate changes as time allows, limited only by
whatever common sense he has (and Ben Fuller's veto).
November 15 -- Messabout Scheduled for Nov 21!
See the Calendar page for details
and maps.
I'm still working on the newsletter for November. Look for it by
the end of the month. Extended deadline for articles: Nov 18 to
John Weiss.
October 27 -- Several options for winter activities
are being considered, including a pot-luck supper (a couple places are
under consideration) and an instructional session on various
sailing rigs (preferably at Bowman Bay or other convenient venue).
If you have other ideas, call or e-mail Larry or John.
Newsletter articles are needed! This is your chance to be
published! Send any articles and photos to John Weiss by Nov
12, via e-mail or snail mail. Hard-copy photos will be scanned
and returned, if requested.
August 16 -- Don't forget to renew!
From the [new] secretary: If you joined last summer, please send in your
TSCA renewal form and dues. Please use the NEW
renewal form from the web site, and check off your preferred
communication method at the bottom (I prefer to use e-mail and/or
the web, because it saves money from our almost-nonexistent
treasury).
August 15 -- New Officers Elected! At the
annual meeting on Lake Whatcom, Larry Feeney was elected
President/Treasurer and John Weiss was elected Secretary. Our
thanks go to Bob Tapp, whose leadership spurred tremendous chapter
growth in the past year.
Blake Island Messabout cancelled. The Oct 13 Blake Island
event has been cancelled. Paul Marlow still invites all
members to use his West Seattle beach for small boat launching.
