Lake Union area, Seattle:

Center for Wooden Boats,
Sunnyside Boat Ramp, Gas Works Park

The Center for Wooden Boats is at the south end of Lake Union in Seattle, just off the Mercer St exit from I-5.
CWB, 1010 Valley St, Seattle, WA 98109, 206-382-2628)

Get in the right lane off the Mercer St. exit and turn right onto Fairview.

Get into the second lane from the right (right-most Left Turn Lane).

After the left turn onto Valley St., CWB is the second driveway on the right .

Parking and launching may be via the CWB parking lot, walkway and docks (for smaller boats); or anywhere between the Navy Reserve Center on the west side of the CWB, and the lawn to the east, by the commercial area.
Overflow parking is available across Valley St in a commercial lot, for about $5/day.

The Sunnyside Boat Ramp is on the north end of Lake Union, on Northlake Way, west of the I-5 bridge.

Take the 45th St (University of Washington) exit from I-5.

There are several routes, all confusing, but try this...

Turn west on 45th St (away from UW).

Turn left (south) on Thackeray (one way, downhill)

Follow the "arterial" signs (jogging around 42nd St) to 40th St or Pacific St. Turn left (east) at the stop sign on 40th/Pacific St to get directly under the I-5 bridge.

Turn right (south) at the stop sign under the bridge.

Bear right after the second stop sign to get on Northlake Way.

Pass Ivar's Restaurant and several boat yards.

Just after the right shoulder widens for trailer parking, you'll come to the boat ramp on the left side, below the foot of Sunnyside Ave.

Gas Works Park is just southwest of the Sunnyside Boat Ramp.
There is a small beach suitable for landing small craft.
