Chip Eichorn from New Jersey brought several of his
lifeguards and two boats up from New Jersey to participate
in the Tall Ships row.
|
This is Chip's other boat. They use
it for rescuing swimmers on the beach in New Jersey.
|
|
From this view you can see that there
is no transom so swimmers can easily be pulled into
the boat. There is considerable flotation built in under
the floor of the boat. Chip makes and sells these lifesaving
boats.

After the row there the JGTSCA hosted
a picnic for members, friends and cadets. Here cook
Tim Weaver offers a hotdog to Ethan while Russell Smith
looks on. |

Two Connecticut River Oar and Paddle Club members.

That's Rob Pittaway in the straw hat talking to a group
of the cadets. The cadets that stayed with us all wore
blue shirts. They had a ball and stayed with us into
the evening.

Another view of the crowd. The cadet
far left was certainly one of the most enthusiastic.
That's the Portugal flag around his neck. |

The party's over and the cadets bid
a fond farewell to the Smith girls. |
