Tolman Jumbo Skiff

Updated pix of the Tolman Jumbo. There's a shot of the fully glassed inside hull bottom. Then there are some showing the joining of the sub-deck for the sheer. This 1" thick X 4" wide X 22' long having three joints (biscuit joining) 12" long. These were then fibeglassed on both sides for strength. The wood is ACX plywood.

Next you'll see the hull bottom sitting on the assembly jig. The assembly was flipped over to permit the sealing of the outside of the hull. The center joint was filled with filled epoxy and then overlayed by three layers of 10 oz glass tape ( 4", 6" and topped by 8"). I just completed glassing the entire bottom port and starboard with 10 oz glass. Well actually the aft 13' since the forward 8' will get a second layer of 1/4" ply during assembly. Then it will also be glassed.
