John Gardner Chapter: October 2007 Meeting Minutes

The John Gardner Chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association.

The meeting was called to order by President Spragg in Avery Point Boathouse at 1:40.

Minutes for the October 7, 2007 membership meeting of the John Gardner Chapter of the TSCA.

Six members and officers were in attendance, there was also a guest family present.

The Secretary’s Report from the September and October meeting will be distributed simultaneously.

The Treasure’s Report was not available. Last balance was $4023.47.

Old Business:

Boathouse upkeep and Activities:

Swampscott Dory is outside the shop. (Chuck)

Saw horses for the shop are cut and require assembly.

Phil’s dory is coming along nicely.

There is still discussion concerning what project to build next.

The Susan Holland is scheduled to return today or tomorrow.

Head of the Weir Oct 27 Hull, MA

Plymouth Bay Row Nov 10 Plymouth, MA

New Business:

There will be a shop cleanup after the meeting.

John Maxon will be bringing his current project into the shop for detail work.

Nomination of Officers:

The positions of Vice President and Secretary are up for election.

Current nominees are:

John Maxon - VP

John Symons & Bill Armitage - Secretary

Nominations will remain open until the end of the November meeting and ballots will be due back prior to the start of the December meeting.

Next meeting is scheduled for November 4, 2007 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
