John Gardner Chapter: June 2007 Meeting Minutes
The John Gardner Chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association.
Minutes for the June 3, 2007 membership meeting of the John
Gardner Chapter of the TSCA.
The meeting was called to order by President Spragg in Boat
Shed at Mystic Seaport following the 38th Annual John Gardner
Small Craft Workshop at 1:45.
Seven members and officers were in attendance as well at
a guest, Myron Young.
A motion was proposed, seconded and passed to accept the
Secretary’s Report from the May meeting, as distributed.
A consolidated Treasure’s Report for the months of
April and may was submitted by, Russ Smith. The balance at
the beginning of April was $3824.11. There was no activity
in the account and the balance at the end of May is $3824.11.
A motion as proposed, seconded and passes to accept the Treasurers
report as submitted.
Old Business:
Boathouse upkeep and Activities:
Swampscott Dory has seen little activity in the past month.

Last Chance is progressing and there is hope that it will
be done in the next two weeks. (Bill)
One of the Avery Point Dories is in the shop for repainting.
Dues are payable. We are attempting to update our mailing
list. Please include your home address, email address and
phone number with your check in the amount of $15.00 made
out to JGTSCA. Kindly use the following mailing address:

On the water:
Seven members attended the Small Craft Workshop at Mystic
Seaport. Fair weather and good company made for an enjoyable
time.
Annual Tag Sale will be held on morning of Saturday, June
9th.
Please note – Start time will be 8:00 not the 10:00
noted on the fliers.
Help getting organized will be needed on Friday evening.
Please plan to arrive by 7:00 on Saturday.
A motion was made and passed to prohibit “Early Bird
Sales” this applies to members as well as the general
public. Russ Smith will take care of placing ads in the New
London Day.
Donations are needed!!!!
New Business:
Chauncy Rucker is looking for people to staff the TSCA booth
at the Woodenboat Show the weekend of June 29th. Please contact
him at chauncyrucker1@mac.com
if you can help out.
Next meeting will be July 1, 2007 at 1:30 in the afternoon,
at the Boathouse.
