On the water:
A chapter row scheduled for this morning left from Mystic
Shipyard East at 9:00. A group of four boats and five members
rowed up the Mystic River to the highway bridge and then returned
to the launch site. Clear skies and calm water provided excellent
conditions. An additional member, who missed the launch time,
spent a few hours exploring the cove near the launch.
The Pine Island Cleanup is scheduled for Sunday, May 6th
followed by our monthly meeting. We will gather at the Boathouse
around 10:00 a.m. and then proceed to launch boats from Bayberry
Lane. Reminder to follow via email.
The Hull Lifesaving Museum’s SNOW ROW was held the
morning of March 10. Due to predicted high winds the four
members who had planned to participate cancelled.
Annual Tag Sale will be held on morning of Saturday, June
9th. More info to follow.
The Avery Point Lighthouse Society request for assistance
in maintaining the recently restored structure is awaiting
further information.
The new stationary sander is considered stolen. This is a
very unfortunate situation and we should all take extra effort
to make sure that the building is secure at all times.
New Business:
Bill Armitage requested help hanging the 21’ planks
for the Last Chance double on Friday, April 6th. Any interested
members who would like to lend a hand should plan to arrive
at the boathouse around 10:00 on Friday morning.
Next meeting and Pine Island Cleanup are scheduled for Sunday
May 6, 2007. Cleanup begins at 10:00 and the meeting will
begin around 1:30 in the Avery Point Boathouse.
Motion to Adjourn at 2:15.
